I started yoga in order to throw me out of my comfort zone. I began when I was around 15-16 years old with my mom, and at that time, I had been struggling with severe social anxiety. Yoga proved not only to be an assisting factor in conquering that anxiety but it also gave me a physical strength I never knew I had. My practice evolved exponentially through the Modern Yoga teacher training program, where I learned about each pose and how they should be held. I learned that yoga should never require you to push past your limit unless that limit can be safely reached.
I want my students to feel comfortable and safe in my class. I want to let them know that wherever they are in their life and practice, physically or mentally, they are accepted and should not feel judged. I hope to create friendly relationships with each of my students.
