Yinsauna: Hot Yin Yoga

Our YinSauna classes are a hit! We’ve added a new class on Sundays at 6PM.

This new Sunday class will feature a rotating set of Modern Yoga Yin certified teachers.  We will alternate between James, Suzi & Natalie to start. We will also continue our Wednesday mornings at 7AM & Thursday evening at 8PM YinSauna classes.

Yin yoga is a very grounding, passive, meditative type of practice designed to help the student improve flexibility & mobility. Yin yoga, sometimes referred to as “Healing Yoga,” involves poses that primarily target the lower extremities. Variations of seated and supine positions are held for a minimum of 3 to 5 minutes accessing deep layers of fascia. Many of the poses you find in Yin are the same poses your PT or doctor suggest in rehabilitation.  Over the years Yin yoga has been refined as a practice and is well known for it’s recuperative & restoring benefits and it has become a vital part of the training regime of athletes of every sport. Our vinyasa yoga classes, mostly, focus on your muscles. Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones.

We add the dimension of heat to your yin practice to allow you to easily get deeper into your practice a lot sooner, prevent injuries, and allow for a more comfortable practice. Typically yin classes are 90 minutes. Our Yinsauna class allows us to accomplish the same in 60 minutes.

Temperature: 100-104

Humidity: 50-65%
