The practice of yin yoga (deep lengthening & stretching postures) with the addition of sauna like health benefits (far infrared heat & steam technology). We will feature a true hybrid yin yoga class with standing, seated & prone postures with long holds and meditative postures that focus on health & longevity of both mind & body.  After an hour we will transition to yoga nidra, or dream yoga, where you will experience a state of extreme relaxation through guided meditation intended to get you to the state in between consciousness and sleeping. Please dress comfortably and feel free to bring your own blanket (and a pillow if you’d like).

What is YinSauna?

We combine the long hold, lenghtening or stretching postures of Yin yoga with the technologines of a far infrared sauna & we further create the true “wet” sauna experience by adding steam with our “steam engine” steam generator.  Join us & experience a rejuvenating & restorative practice!

Suzi RYT will lead this part of class.  She has furthered her yoga education over the past several years with a focus on Yin yoga practice & instruction.  

What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.

We use the teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati from the traditional tantric practice of nyasa. His versatile techniques, have been used for deep relaxation, stress management and therapies,to enhance the learning process in education,to harmonize the deeper unconscious and awaken inner potential,and as a meditative technique.

Joyce ERYT will lead this part of class. She has continued her yoga education over the years with study of Yoga Nidra & Vipasana or mindfulness meditation.
